Ida Chong Action, April 14th, 2008

ACTION ALERT!!
Horrible News!
Ida Chong's Inaction allows WFP to apply for subdivision and development.
Due to her ministries stalling, the Capital Regional District has not recived approval for progressive zoning. This allowed Western Forest Products a window of opportunity to apply to the province to subdivide some of its parcels. This puts areas in Jordan River, Shirley, Muir Creek and Otter Point at risk of immediate development.

It was one Minister's action that allowed the prospect of development on these lands (Rich Coleman), and another’s inaction (Ida Chong). This is another betrayal of the public trust.
